[edit] Choosing a Career
Once you've started playing Wardrome you'll want to choose a career to reach your objectives more rapidly. Each career opens up special bonuses, equipment and ships.
The following careers are available in Wardrome:
There are also 'Special Careers' that cannot be chosen by the player but will be assigned by an Administrator:
[edit] Buying a License
All legal careers can be obtained through a license bought at the "license office" in your races' Home World by looking in the "Government Palace". A career license costs 250.000 Credits.
[edit] Special Races
Each race may evolve into a special race, known as a Super-Race which will appear and act as another career. This is done by purchasing a specific ship (see - Mariner) and loading it with settlers, which will play the part of 'Infantry' in this case. Once that's done, you should explore space looking for Asteroids. Landing on these Asteroids and defeating the aliens present will then earn you a random reward/prize. The chance of this 'reward' being your "Super-Race" is very small and very much worth putting effort into hunting for! While taking on the career of a Super-Race, you lose your abilities to build or purchase ships from your old career and gain access to building and purchasing the new Super-Race ships. (you keep all previously owned/built items - ships etc.. - that you had before the evolution)
- NOTE: The prize for conquering an Asteroid is completely random and has no connection with the image of the asteroid in question. According to the Admin of Wardrome - Any claim of the presence of such connection is just an urban legend.
You can also lose your Super-Race as well. It occurs in the same manner in which you gained it. It is a completely random event after defeating Aliens on an Asteroid. (Also a very small chance of occurring)
Once you've achieved Super-Race - You can enter the 'Management' tab at any of your planets that have a 'Spaceship Lab' built on it and begin producing your new Super-Ships. These new ships all cost the same in resources to build across all races:

[edit] Illegal Careers
After a Commander performs a number of acts that are considered to be violations of the Law, The Senate will judge you and may banish you from society.
Any Commander that has been declared an Outlaw and wishes to take on the 'career' of lawlessness, may become a Pirate. In this case, you should already be outlawed and then join the Filibusta on the planet Tortuga.
All Pirates are Outlaws, While a rogue Outlaw may choose any career.
[edit] State of Imprisonment
A Commander OR Outlaw that has been charged with violating certain aspects of the Law but has admitted to their guilt and publicly asks for a plea bargain, may be set into a State of Imprisonment for a period of time. A fine will be charged based on the crimes committed - You may be sentenced to Community Service - In severe cases, you may be asked to return a number of illegally acquired items (Ships, Planets etc..). This 'Prisoner' status will remain beside your you career icon until all fines and/or community services have been paid.
