KRON Aliens: The AI (Artificial Intelligence) OR NPC (Non-Playable Character) Alien Race of WarDrome.
They wonder through space - Enemy of all - Attacking any they come in contact with. We've gathered many details on them from intelligence reports, which can be found below. Most notably - You will find the Asteroids they now inhabit - Scattered through-out all areas of space they have traveled. There are reports of a secondary Universe, parallel to our own, inhabited and patrolled by the Kron Aliens - The Kron Galaxy - Which is only accessible by Alien technology known as the Kron Portal.

Known facts about the Kron Aliens:
- They will attack any Commander, even within hostile or patrolled systems.
- Their ships are very powerful and partially organic in nature. Under our control, their ships must have some degree of protection to prevent deterioration and destruction. The 'Medics' ability within the Crew Training must be studied to counter the effects of not being tended to by the aliens.
- If ships are lost as a result of alien attacks, points are lost do to the destruction of the ships. The opposite is true as well for the Kron but this will never stop them from attacking. In short, they are suicide bombers...
- Alien ships can receive damage from Mines - But if destroyed by mines, do not grant any points.
- Kron once favored a tactic of plundering and destructing Spaceports using the Marauder.
- Kron ships have the ability to reach any 'Island' within the universe, even those not previously traveled and not normally jump-able.
- The chances of successfully conquering their ships are very low.
[edit] Asteroids

[edit] Basics:
Asteroids are the targets of many Commanders - As they should be. After defeating the aliens inhabiting an asteroid you will receive one of many possible rewards. The technologies on these Asteroids are the main source of enhancing (or "leveling up") your ships. There are also rewards available for improving your planets and a reward to earn bonus Premium Points.
[edit] How to defeat the Kron Aliens Inhabiting an Asteroid:
Each asteroid is inhabited with anywhere from 1.500 to 22.000 Alien Infantry. Defeating these Alien infantry requires you to own a specific ship - The Mariner - Which is currently the only ship configured to outfit your settlers as infantry and give the ability to lay an assault on an Asteroid. Once in command of this ship, loaded with settlers - It's then possible to successfully "Land" on an asteroid.
It's highly suggested, when on Asteroid hunts, that you take a fleet capable of carrying many settlers. By using the "Load" option on other ships (with settlers) while commanding the Mariner - You can easily keep infantry units available. It's also advisable to only load approximately 20.000 settlers on the Mariner at a time (no matter the cargo capacity) do to the aliens having a very strong attack, able to wipe out the entire unit. A "reload" of infantry is fast and easy; apposed to losing thousands upon thousands of settlers at a time.
[edit] Attack Types:
The methods of attack are simple and most effective purely based on your preferences:
There seems to be various attack types, but based on amount of Energy use, follow the same principles.
At this time, the attack options you may have available, appear to be randomly selected at character creation
The "Hand to Hand Laser Swords" Attack is the cheapest - At the cost of (2) Energy per attack. It takes longer to level this ability up - Based on damage - But can prove to be a very cheap and efficient method of attacking once some experience is gained.
"Encirclement" (2) Energy
"Attack with laser guns" (1) Energy
The "Launch Grenade" costs slightly more at (5) Energy per attack, but it receives higher damage gains as experience increases.
The "Retreat" (Reported to have very low damage at the cost of (8) Energy, not much else is known at this time.)
"Laser Storm" (100) Energy
"Assault ship (bombing)" (100) Energy

[edit] Kron Ships
Kron have the following ships:
- Slogger: Three versions - A, F and M. Used for resource extraction.
- Marauder: Small assault ship.
- Intruder: Slightly more powerful than the Marauder.
- OverLord: Very powerful attack ship.
- Lairship: The dreaded Defender
- Swarm World: The Alien Planetoid, capable of firing lethal spore attacks against planets.
- Porcupine: The Alien Cruiser
- BirdOfPray: Very little is known about this ship.
[edit] Kron Infrastructure
The Kron Hierarchy can be divided into 2 categories:
- Kron Defense Squadron AKA: "One" - (As known from within their own community)
Kron Defense Squadron is the 'mastermind' behind the Kron - The Think-Tank - With resources devoted to this aspect, the Kron Defense Squadron is less effective in battle.
- Kron Aliens AKA: "Two" - (As known from within their own community)
Kron Aliens, we are more familiar with and face on a day-to-day basis. They are mostly comprised of fighters. Although they do appear to have some sort of independent thought - They mainly take orders from the Kron Defense Squadron.
Kron Aliens - Act under the control of the Kron Defense Squadron, which manages the list of targets during assaults and in times where defensive measures must be taken. Through some miner investigation - It can be seen that the Kron Aliens themselves are virtually unlimited in number. However, They become almost defenseless after the destruction of the Kron Defense Squadron which severs the symbiotic relationship between the two.

Keep in mind that at the time of writing - The Kron Portal is not currently open for further exploration!
[edit] Time Line of Events:
To fully understand what the Kron Portal is and how it came about, we can look into the time-line of events:
- First Evolution - This structure of alien origin, that suddenly appeared in our universe, can be compared to a planet in some aspects. This structure appears to be an immense collection of crackling energy. We think, it's because of this, that our normal missiles can not damage this structure. Only the fearful missile Pluto-Z seems to do any type of worthwhile damage to it's shields. Even trying to detonate a Supernova in the area proved to only have the reverse effect - The structure seemed to draw upon and harness the Energy created by the Supernova to recharge it's shields... Probes sent to investigate the area returned with data concluding that the structure emits a strange melody.
The Spacestation Gilgamesh was the last to report news on this portal.
- Second Evolution - After destruction of the portals' defenses - We were able to activate it, crossing over to the other side and finding the existence of the Galaxy Kron, which appeared to be a Universe parallel to our own. (QGU) has taken control of the portal: Making it available to access for travel between the two universes. At this time, a research laboratory was built for the study of the Kron Aliens and their technology. The Spes Ultima is a scientific-military structure responsible for the development of effective weaponry against this new and very threatening enemy.

[edit] Kron Portal Location:
The location of the Kron Portal is the Star System #72027 Octa Tania Australis III [Aeron:62x8d] (98 x 141)
The location of the Kron Portal can be deceiving at first. One would normally begin their exploration within the Kron Galaxy. As attempts were made to track down it's definite location - It was discovered just inside the Human races territory. It's actual location is slightly above the Kron Galaxy - Where the corners of Human and Kron territory meet. A ship in your command, with a decent Navigation ability should be able to Trace Route it's position fairly easy from this general area.
To the left you will see an expanded view of the surrounding systems near the Portal. Possibly of some use in tracking down the Portal.
To the right is an up close view of the Portals' System. There doesn't appear to be anything else of importance in the immediate area...

There was once an alliance between us and the Kron Aliens - The following is a summary of what we learned during that time.
At one time, the universe was inhabited by three entities: Known as "One", "Two" and "Three". "One" and "Two" have been mentioned above. "Three", Evolved into what we know as "Demons". Presumably, this is the strain that could have evolved into the four races we know of now that populate the universe. In former times, these three entities coexisted peacefully - Until an evil entity, which we now consider to be our God, brought the Cloriani to the Universe and were sealed in what we call the "Fourth Dimension". During this time, billions of individuals from "Two" were sacrificed for the salvation of "One" and "Three".
Their hostility towards the four races today seems to stem from the fact that, who they consider a dangerous enemy, we consider a God...
